URGENT HELP! stripped bolt

Hey,
i have a 1980 celica (ra40) i have to replace the gearbox mount on the gear box crossmember. The problem is that two of the bolts were rooted when i got the car. By rooted i mean there is not much of a head left on them. I cant use a spanner or a socket cuz they just slip around due to the lack of head.
my last resort is i have a set of easy outs, but i dont like using these things.
can anyone suggest something different as i need the car for work tomorrow morning. (btw keep in mind this is still on the car)
thanks
nathan

My experience with this problem (ive had it lots)
Is to be patient.. Get a couple of small files and get to work on each edge of the bolt.. Get the next size down spanner and use that as a guide.. Once its a pretty close fit.. get a hammer and tap it on.. (dont go crazy with the hammer) voila!

Sorry to jump in but as ur on the topic of stripped bolts etc i was going to ask if anyone has any ideas of how to get a alley key bolt that is stripped off my steering wheel as i really need to take it off and theres one crappy bolt that the alley key hole is stripped and i don't really want to have to drill it out.
Thanks

get a hacksaw and cut a groove into the top so you can use a screw driver

Its a bit hard to get a hacksaw in there...i was thinking of hammering a screw driver in very hard then replacing it if i can get it out.

A dremel is basiclly a small hand held drill that can hold different types of attachments like small drill bits, grinding stones and cutting blades!
As for those rounded bolts, I would do what has already been said! Get another bolt welded on top of it! This works every time without damaging anything!
rollaboy, I'm not exactly sure what allen bolt you are talking about, but does any of it hang out the top so you can get a grip on it with something? If not, you can get small security bits that look like allen bits but they are square! If you can get a size that you can hammer down into the bolt you can then unscrew it with no worries! I have done this a few times! Not on cars but its the same thing!
