Doom 3

Man im so excited! My brother works for Harvey Norman and he told me last night that hes bringing a copy home on tuesday.
He's a salesman, so for the next ten minutes I got a loud, animated rundown of the game and what to expect and I cant wait, hell yeah!
Its meant to be real scary and a mindblowing experience. Ive heard that before you say....
Anyone else a doom fan?

I love Doom. Especialy Doom2. Unfortunatly for me though, I wont be able to run Doom3 when it first comes out. I'm gonna have to wait to upgrade my system from a P3 to a P4 first.

Pitty it's actually 6 CD's
And while I'm not a big fan of the Doom series. There is no doubt in my mind that I will end up with it.
If only for multiplayer.

If your referring to the pic that was released that was completely fake. If you google, "how many cds is doom 3" you will find an article saying that its 3. Its been quoted from one of the people currently working on it.
As for the bittorrent link, there is a new one called Doom 3 Reloaded which is a vertified copy with cracks/keygens included so it wont be fake. 1.8gig all up.

I'll be expecting my copy to arrive in my PO BOX on wednesday.
I don't care that I have to wait. I'm getting it for $82 express posted to me. EB can shove their $99 price tag.

jeez thats a graphics intensive game!
I can only run @ 640x480 with my gforce4!
and even then its barely running!
Wicked stuff but... I think I'll wait until my system can cope with the game before I play it through.

freakiest game with most atmodsphere I've ever played.
P4 2.4GHZ, 512MB Ram (300MHZ ram), Radon 9800Pro, and it runs pretty well in 800x600, high detail.

Awesome Game. I am thinking best game Ive ever played. I like to shoot stuff. The Gore. The Detail. Creepy noises. The Classic enemies redesigned plus new ones.
I just got thru the Delta Labs. And Im starting to get good weapons. I hope it never ends....
Its real scary too. Edge of your seat stuff

Just go to http://www.suprnova.org/ theres plenty of them there. Look for the one with the most seeds\peers and it should be fine. I think its called Doom3-Reloaded (or thats the one I used anyway).

You obviously have a X800 or 6800 series card, nothing else can do that type of res/detail.

Whats your definition of playable, as I have not heard a single person managing this on anything less than a new gen card.

just ran a benchmark of it - at 1600 i got 11 fps and at 1024 i got 23 fps and that was a part with monsters and shooting etc..
which is pretty shit actually.
