4A-C Coil Fri, 13 September 2002 12:52 Go to next message
I'm currently installing an alarm for the car, and would like the alarm to disable the ignition coil. The maximum rating I can disable is 30 amps. Does the igniton coil withdraw more than 30 amps? If not how much current does it draw from the battery?

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Nah, the coil doesn't take much, only a couple of amps - just don't go putting any nasty long wiring and dropping the voltage too much
