You'd sacrifice your missus for that??
well come on people. Do you really believe that rally cars are not going to head off into the scrub at times? ...or get a bit unstable and hard to control after a jump.
For shit sakes, let common sense prevail. If people stood in sensible spots or even dangerous spots (with enough time to move even if the driver wanted to hit you!) then there would be less accidents and a hell of a lot more drivers that don't need counseling.

...but that is a terrible thing to happen and it's over so quickly.
Could have been worse if it didn't snap that/those telegraph pole/s.

Was it a bad idea to post this video as a general motoring educational material ?
I wonder this since this same post (by me) got deleted by moderators at club4AG.com since it was apparently found to be unwanted material for the forum. As a general rule all kinds of bashing, name calling, unpolite presentation,,,etc is forbidden on that forum.
Did any of you people on this forum find this videoclip to exhibit such nature ?
Please - do comment.

No, i think that the video is fine here.. Plenty of us have posted up videos from time to time, and i don't think there's ever been a problem... (unless it's porn or something else not even slightly car related, i don't think you'll be moderated on these forums).
That's truly a shocking accident, and I can't believe the way spectators in some of these rallies overseas are allowed to stand so close to dangerous parts of the course.. I've been to plenty of events in the NSW Championships, and spectators are only allowed into a few areas designated by the marshals.. it's not like you've really got an opportunity to stand in dangerous areas even if you wanted to!
So yes - like GT4_Steve said, a bit more common sense from these spectators wouldn't go astray, but i think event organisers have to play a heavy roll in it as well..

Two words spring to mind....
Public Liability
I'd hate to be the organiser or insurer of that event!

Recent rally in Japan, Possum Bourne came over a rise and got airborne/sideways. Almost took out a bunch of photographers (rest of the spectators were safely behind the taped off area), before straightening up to go on and win the event!
Rally NZ a few years back Colin McRae actually broke the leg of a photographer who stepped too far out (never stopped, just drove on). From my own experience organising events here in NZ (pretty low level stuff but the principals should be the same) we put signs up saying MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK and as long as our paperwork is in order in terms of putting marshals in high risk/easy access spots we are covered.
My view is if you can't use your own common sense you probably deserve to get run over, but the poor driver doesn't deserve the damage to the car.

Remember that Tommi accident in the Subaru where the car was rolling then bounced over the top off a spectator? that was very lucky and few years back in rally of tas a guy clipped a rock and sent the car off into the bushes and hit a camera man's camera?
