I could buy garrett GT2052V for really cheap. What I know is that it's cheap, it's ballbearing turbo, V stands for variable nozzle turbo right? and it has done 9000km, it's from 2003 Opel Omega 2.5TDS (the engine is same than in turbo diesel 525 bmw), it has no water cooling nor wastegate, and it's CHEAP!

What I want to know is that is it any good for 3T-TE?
And will the VNT work in gasoline engine?
And how dear would upgrading be compared to say Garrett T03?

Story behind this turbo is that mechanic trainee spilled used oils over this turbo during oil change and since the car was new (only 900km's) the turbo got replaced. My friend works in the same workplace and he got it.

Google didnt help...
