single or twin turbo? Sun, 01 August 2004 22:53 Go to next message
Hi all, I would like some peoples opinions on whether a twin turbo 1ggte is better then a 1ggte that has had a single turbo conversion. I want to drop one into my hilux and was just wondering if one larger turbo will create more turbo lag, or if it will give too much power at once for the light rear end of the hilux etc etc, I read these forums alot and the regular guys seem to know a fair bit Smile, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Dust

A single turbo will generally make more power and have more lag than the stock twins, but exactly how much depends on the size and specifications of the turbo. Whether or not the single turbo is "better" depends entirely on your expectations and requirements.
