M-TEU factory knock control Mon, 02 August 2004 08:51 Go to next message
What does everyone make of this....it looks quite factory and was installed in the passenger footwell towards the outside of the car (ie near the door).

Also looks like its seen better days!

the relucter output from the dizzy goes into this box along with signals from the 2 knock sensors and other sensors , if a knock is detected it retards(modifys) the ignition timing,1 of toyotas early attemps at timing control, lots of wires and very large ecu.

Interesting, Interesting! I had no idea toyota had such a system that long ago. How effective is it? Would it be worth hooking up?

Thanks for the info!
