Add $5000-10000 to the cost of your engine, and it can be done.

seriously, these are very easy questions to answer yourself:
yes it would be worth it if you had a spare 10-12k to spend on a stock Sprinter.
yes, it would go like a FUCKING bat out of hell!! duhhhh.
yes, yes it would be mean, very mean indeed.

In initial D the engine in takumi's car is a formula atlantic 4age 20V.. That is 1.6L Naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine. no need 4 a big ass 1jz or 2jz.

nope - just a need to rebuild it every second drive and not idle for more than 2 minutes without changing the spark plugs...

2JZ's are for pussies. Get a 1GZ-FE V12, it will fit easily. AE86's have big engine bays, well suited to swapping in big engines!

What do you plan to use the car for? When you say "track" is that circuit or drag or what?

4AGTE? You obviously have a sizeable budget if you were considering a 2J transplant, so you could build a pretty mean-ass engine with that.
How about ZE block, 20V head and a nice BB T28????
