AE86 Wheel alignment settings Mon, 02 August 2004 23:00 Go to next message
Im getting a wheel alignemt done today at 12pm (Tuesday 3 Aug).

Just wanting some opinions/experiences as to what the best setup is for track use(Wakefield Park).

Camber ?
Caster ?
Tow?

I'm thinking along the lines of:

-3 deg of Camber
0 deg of Tow
as much caster as I can get.

Thanks
Jason

Hey Jason,

I think I am going to have:

1.75 degrees negative camber
maximum caster that can be adjusted
0 or 0.2 degree toe in

This is how it was set last time I had an alignment but with only about 0.7 degrees negative camber.

I have roll centre adjusters to fit tonight and I have raised the front end 17mm too. I hope these two changes eliminate the bump steer that I experience in hard cornering, but I suspect I may need thicker RCA's to completely rectify this problem.

Let us know how you go with your wheel alignment and who is doing it?
