Hey guys and gals,
Need help with the windscreen on the Sprinter!! I'm getting Windscreens O'brien to do my windscreen in the next month or so but when the sprinter went to the panel shop, both L and R side trims and the one that goes across the top got damaged and was wondering if you can successfully remove them from a car at a wreckers and still get a good seal, or should I just go brand new from Toyota??
I inquired about the trims about a month ago at my local toyota, and he told me they would have to come from japan, no biggie! although $$$$$$$$
My other question is if I get the new trims from japan, and just hand them over to windscreens o'brien to fit together with a new windscreen, will they know how to fit it properly or did they need to remove it themselves so they know how it all went together?? Or am I just being paranoid??
Cheers for any info,
Adrian!

When I had my AE86 windscreen replaced, they pretty much ripped the side moulding out, bent them and the top piece. Then they dodgiedly put the black silicon in there, put windscreen in, stuck the mouldings to the silicon and gave my car back.
Got home, realised they f%^ked me over and did not put the rubber seals down the side back in, just put the metal pieces in. So I drove back, said WTF and the guy dove into the bin to find it for me. I drove off w/ a big, you f$%king moron look on my face.
The trims don't really seal the windscreen, just for decor but do act as channel for the top of door. I'd get from wreackers and barter them down based on the condition of them (chances are they'll damage them so make them pay (well you pay less ))
Best bit about my windscreen I found out about a month later: they didin't know how to work the efpos machine: my $170 windscreen cost $1.70
