Mis-informed.
ONLY ON A MZ21 - Steer clear of the MZ21's, the air bags are worth more than the damn car to fix apparently!!

...and again, air bags only on the MZ21's, TV screens (in jap only) where in the limiteds, yes.
My advice, look for a MZ20 in good nick, and make sure you either have an extra 1-2g to do a MHG and be done with it, or find one with a MHG in it already.
Generally TEMS is ok, but dont be to worried if it isnt, just rip all that shit out and throw in new Supra shocks

If the TEMS clicks then it is working but it doesnt do fuck all anyway, it goes from soft to softer, im gonna fuck it off and get coilovers soon, but im gonna leave that sticker on the back cos that looks DSCHIZNIT

Yeah, they're basically common problems with any old car such as suspension bushes dying, rust inside the doors... possibly the doors will have dropped down a bit as well and will need lifting to latch onto the hinge properly
other than that and the 7M issue's i've had with my MZ they're a bunch of fun!

Whats the fuel economy like in the 1g and the 7m versions ? Like just average driving with a bit of throttle every now and then.

If that's all it does ou need some new TEMS shocks. You should feel it working when cornering etc. They are just a strut with a little three position switch in the top that is switched by an electric motor from soft to medium to hard. Set on hard they're OK - and less painful to drive than a coilover equipped car. TEMS is a compromise between hard suspension and everyday driveability.
The good news is that new TEMS shocks are farking cheap from toyota, and they're made by KYB.
There is a procedure in the TSRM for checking if TEMS is working - it should to switch to hard (all three lights on) when accelerating hard, braking when going over 60km/h and cornering hard. Somntimes the motor's burn out, or the senors from the speedo, steering column and brake pedal fail.
