Just don't know how all you guys do so many mods to your cars.
Today I successfully spent the better half of $1000 on replacing my shocks and tyres. Having a normal car is so expensive let alone doing anything to it.

Hi Rob
True, True. Angry at having to spend so much on it, but willing to pay for quality. Have to say the guys did a good job and I'm happy with the result.

They just put in peddars, don't know particulars, showing my girlyness here. But the drive is much smoother and heaps better.

I'd have to say after getting mine done that new shocks are one of the best improvements you can make. Surprised

But back to your original question - modifying/maintaining cars isn't nearly as expensive when you have the time/know-how to do things yourself.. The cost of parts alone usually isn't too off-putting, but labour is what generally makes the bills soar. I don't mind giving a lot of things a go, but unfortunately the amount of free time i've got usually discourages me. Confused

WHAT THEY SAID... it also takes DEDICATION & SACRIFICE

basically one way to see it is; do you want to get pissed and carried home, or are you prepared to drink less so you can buy those rims next week sorta thing

that may be an extreme hypothetical but you get the idea

no point replacing shocks with the same type shocks when down the track your thinking of putting better/stiffer shocks. do it now and same in the long run. it makes it hard when your not prepared now for later
