Has anyone replaced the handbrake assembly in a TA22 with something a little stronger and better feeling??

Thanks.

if adjusted correctly the TA22 handbrake lever feels pretty good you can pull it on at 50-60Kmh and lock the rear wheel to initiate some big drift action Very Happy .mine is adjusted to lock after just 3 clicks which isnt very far (about 20-20% of total swing, the original manual says 3-5 clicks is optimal) i have problems with the button not unlocking it till its inside the lever.... not good, ive had a close call with a friend nearly hitting me when i couldnt unlock it whilst drifting. Shocked

Thats why I want to change it! A while ago I had a run in with a few to many drinks and the handbrake! My handbrake is now all twisted and just to stiff to get any feeling out of it!

I'm in Brisbane! So its probly cheaper if I find one close by!
Its actually the bas of the assembly that is all twisted!
I wanted to fit something a bit stringer with out that little ajusting knob!
But I spose i'll have to live with what I have to! I hav'nt had time to go to the wreckers and measure some other units that may fit!

i often thought of a better setup for the TA22 setup... i've considered a few things. one being to machine up out of aluminium a new mounting bracket, and replace, or modify the pivot point on the existing lever with a new tighter teflon or bronze bush to reduce that side to side movement... never got around to it, spent all the money elsewhere, i figure it was a small aspect, not worth the trouble...
