Pulsing Brakes?

What would cause a "pulsing" feeling when breaking? I know for a fact its in the rear end (drums) and when i apply brakes it feels like the drum is an oval shape and pulses as it brakes.
Is it possible for the drum to warp? or could it be cause by something else?

Warpage, heavily scored drums / discs, flatspot on your tyre or ABS brakes will give you a pulsing feeling.

Probably is... drums would be fairly hard to warp

Not really you can warp them by getting the hot and leaving the handbreak on for a extended period of time. Had this happen in one of my rollas.

Yup. Burnouts are another great way to get your drums hot enough to warp.

just thought i'd clarify, you're sure its the drums because of how it feels, or you're sure its the drums because you've applied the handbrake whilst moving?

becuase it happens with the handbrake, and i have just done a rear-end swap.. I have some spare drums so i'll whack them on and see if that was the problem.

Get a line locker... might be cheaper than new drums or discs all the time

My car has rear discs, so I'm not talking from personal experience here.
