saw a RA65 celica at car city today with GT badges all over it and on the front, the toyota badge was replaced with a sports badge. apart from that, it's identical to any other RA65. No wait, it had one of those supra ripoff spoilers on the top but think it may be more of a sunshade.
Is there supposed to be any differences between the GT and the standard celica? interior same, wheels same, engine same.
I guess someone could've put GT badges all over their car but it seems like they went to a bit of effort.

I know there are GT Celica's but not too sure on the differences between them...
Ppl do go to a lot of trouble with badges and stuff though... Like for instance, all of the Hondas and Nissans with the "Type R" stickers... And the "Acura" badges on Hondas...

Dude, this has popped up a few times before.
Someone in the past obviously got a batch of ra65 clelicas, replaced the factory badges with 'gt/gti' and 'sports', put one of those Supra-like wings on the liftbacks and spoliers on the coupes, and colour coded the lower half the grill&healdights, and put aftermarket fender flares and funny looking alloys on. They are not official and are completely stock part from the above mentioned things.
Last time this came up on Toymods, I got some photos sent to me. I will forward them to you if you like, Maxdamage.

the thing is though that this 'GT' celica was totally stock. (unless there's something different in the mechanics but you can't really tell just by looking at it). There weren't any flares and it even had the tarago wheels. Like I said above, this car was identical to any other stock RA65 apart from the badges.
Stefan if you've got some pics then I'd like to see them. By the way, did you get the stuff I sent down to you?

Were the GT badges in the same 'font' as our XT/ST badges, like they owner just grabbed some US "GT" badges.... or are they a different style? If different, they might be off one of those knockoff GT/GTis or even just off some other car.
I will look for that email and send it to you.
No, I haven't got thr parts yet, but unless you sent it express it will take at least 3 days.
