Ive just bought a holden WB ute, and was wondering about dropping in a lexces V8 quad cam engine into it. Does any one have any ideas about
What the engine is called?
Who supplies such engines?
Conversions etc.....
who, what and where?

This car is going to built over a number of years, as still in uni with not much money, and will be built for the summernats. And eventually be my everyday car.

People are going to kick me for putting a toyota engine in a holden but who cares, I want the best engine for my car.

Plus any performance 8 cylinder engines that come stock with super or turbo chargers.

Appreciate the help!

Im not holding back this car is going to be a monster!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The engine you're referring to is from the UZ family. Variations include:

- 1UZ-FE: 4.0L all alloy
- 2UZ-FE: 4.7L iron block
- 3UZ-FE: 4.3L all alloy VVTi

The 1UZ is the most common for engine conversions as it is cheaper and more easily available than the other two. You can find one at any Jap engine importer.

I can't think of any factory turbo/supercharged V8's; certainly nothing from Japan anyway. You'd probably have to look at Euro exotica for that sort of thing. Having said that, there are plenty of supercharger kits available for the 1UZ.

As much as I'd love to say it was an intentional drift Laughing, I will admit to it being a rush of Latin blood in an attempt to chase down an R33 GTR (which I did Very Happy ).
