Speed limiter on Soarer?

Hi guys,
My mate has one of the older squarer Soarers, the ones with the 1ggte. Does it have a speed limiter? I'm presuming it does as it gets to 180 and won't rev any higher than 5k. Also do these cars have a boost cut in 1st gear (it's an auto) as it doesn't seem to have much go until it clicks into second. If it does have either of these things how hard is it to remove them?

Being a Jap import, it's highly likely that is has the typical 180km/h limiter. Unsure about boost limit on the 1G, but the 1JZ has a factory boost limit of 1 bar.

I used to own a gz20 soarer and I was told that the lower boost in 1st is due to the VSV thing. I really can't remember though. Do a search on it.
and yes that is the speed limiter  Lucky you were on a private road when you were testing otherwise there could be some trouble
