Coil Spring sagging: resetting? Thu, 05 August 2004 05:47 Go to next message
While talking to the panel beater fixing my car yesterday, he commented that the rear right was lower that the rear left.

I knwo that both rear springs have sagged approx 15-20mm since fitting them 50000km ago.

Is this distance normal for custom springs to sag?

I have a feeling that this may have been a contributing factor to my accident. Reason being that there was less compliance in the springs resulting in the rear end setting out instead of rolling a bit.

Can I get them reset, or do I have to shell out for new ones?

i think for the price, you'd probably be better off getting new springs, or custom ones (marginally more expensive). call a suspension place and get a price?

They're already custom ones, but I've since found out that Camry rear springs fit.
