my car stinks of petrol all the time when i am driving
and it goes really really slow up hills now, like it has no power
and it wouldnt start today so i had to roll start it.
I haven't got a clue where to look help me please 
It's a mazda 323 non fuel injected like 82 model i think

have you checked in the engine bay and under the car to the fuel tank, that you have no leaks in the fuel pipe or cracks in the rubber joiners?

true, but it could be a small leak that mainly does it while you are moving (fuel pump on) and there's higher pressure in the line.  it does evaporate.
worth a look anyways..

(sorry, but you left yourself wide open for that kind of tasteless remark) 
seriously: you could have also blocked off the vent from tank to the charcoal cannister - so the pump is fighting to suck petrol fro mthe tank or is unable to return excessfuel to the tank? or the charcoal cannister is stuffed from inhaling fuel instead of only vapour so it's trying to evap the fuel but is unable to bleed off excess vapour?
or the fuel pump is stuffed (might explain lack of power) or leaking so you're smellingthe petrol instead of burning it.
are you sure the choke isn't stuck on?
or you have to save up and go to a mazda dealer.

She is picking me up tonight i'll have a look at the canniser and try and trace the fuel line back through the car.
And the choke isn't on but i haven't had a chance to take the air filter off and have a look.
