to badge or not to badge.. Gt4 Fri, 06 August 2004 11:42 Go to next message
Ok friends - the gt4 is due back eventually ..

So next im gunna look at cleaning it up a bit on the outside - a bit of respraying here and there before the full sprayjob

Now - Dilemma is Decals/badges

Go totally clean/stealth

Go standard Gt4

Go Group A / RC ?

The last choice is for the following

I have group A motor built + ready to go in

Group A intercooler should have hit the shores monday - awaiitn confirmation after the containers unpacked

I have an St205 Group A gearbox on a truck awaiting pickup and install

I have A group A turbo + rear group A LSD already in the car

Car has a group A Nosecone - and Bonnet ( being readyed to go on in conjuction with intercooler

IS it worthy of Group A'ness in the same fashion Guys who GT badge their ta22's / RA28's etc when they bring them up to spec ?

Oppinions appreciated - Flames Ignored

Price up the badges (especially group A ones) from Toyota and I think you'll have the answer... I'm sure all of us can find better things to do with half a grand than buy heaps of little stickers etc.

Alternatively see if you can get them remade by the company that Toyota got to make them:
Rebel Graphics
Ph: 02 9525 0355

Stickers required for a full group a sticker set:
Group A Rallye x 3
Water To Air Intercooler
4WD Turbo x 2
GT-Four x 1

Refer to Toyota Motor Corp Australia Engineering Change E91/09-016 for full details Very Happy

Its good to have inside information sometimes isn't it Evil or Very Mad

it will have the toyota badge on the nose ( its on the group a bonnet - looks nice )

it will have Celica still between the tail lights

probabaly keep the toyota one on the back - juts take the AWD turbo ones odd the side and the crappy faded GT4 one off the hatch - thats gunna be fun :/
