OK, I need some cash, and I don't need all this steroe gear.
Kenwood 220W 7x10" speakers, in reasonable condition. These speakers can put out plenty of bass, I'll be sorry to see them go. $150.00
Audiobank amplifier, 100Wx2ch., mosfet, gold terminals blah, blah, blah. Good condition, not used for very long. $150.00
2x Audiogod 12" subwoofers, 300W. Second hand, unused by me. $50 each.
Sanyo amplifier, 50Wx2ch., low/high level control. Pretty old, worked when I used it. (A while aga...) $50.00
Kenwood head unit, tape player. Um, 25Wx4, 1 pre-out, detachable usual stuff.... can't find the manual at the moment..... Not bad condition, works ok. $100.00
*SOLD* Kenwood 6 CD stacker, good condition. I'm suprised how good this is at not skipping. My car has fairly stiff suspension and it really takes a hard knock for it to skip. $150.00
I also have heaps of cable, speaker cable power cable, a big fuse, so if you need any of this let me know.
If you're interested in any of this stuff let me know, and make an offer if you want.

Hey Dean, sorry I didn't get back to you. Been a bit busy. The stacker's still in my car at the moment, so I'll need a day or so to pull it if you're still keen. Could you make it $130?
Leighp, I still have everything, interest has been shown in the 7x10s, stacker, subs and 200W amp, but nothing has been sold.
Stefan, I have a big gold 20A fuse with a fuse holder, a gold 1-4 distribution block, plenty of speaker cable, a 5m RCA cable and a 1m one, and a fair bit of power cable, the longest bit being a bit over 3m, another just under 3m. Where's the amp going, where's the battery, and where are the speakers being amped?

Sorry I took so long to reply... couldn't get my account to work and figured I had to re-register with the new system
This is for my RA65. The battery is in the stock location (passenger side), the amp is going in the driver's side hatch area, and it's going to drive all four of my speakers - two alpine DDDrive 6.5" coaxs in front doors and two older alpine 6x9s in the rear passenger panels.
Is it standard practise to have the amp so far away from the headunit? Seems a long way to run unbalanced low-level RCAs - likewise with the long speaker-cable runs.

Well, it's either long RCA cables or long speaker cable. The best setup would have the battery, head unit, amps & speakers in one box, but then you have a home stereo! And as far as I've seen, it is fairly standard practice to have the amp in the boot, just check out all the car stereo installations in any of the 4 cyl mags, you couldn't fit all them amps & caps & subs 'n stuff anywhere else.
Anyway, I have more cable than you need, so that won't be a prob. You can have all the power cable I've got, the big gold fuse, a bit of earth cable (same as power but black instead of red), the 1m RCA cable, little gold terminals for the amps power cables, and enough thick speaker cable to hook it all up (all you need is a nice battery terminal clamp). How about $20 for all that? I'm in Turramurra and work at mascot.
Shit, sorry I didn't reply to your email cam, I did get it, just got a little side tracked. The thing is, the amp's a bit old, and isn't in perfect condition, but I can't really hook it up to test it. How about, you can have it for 20 bucks plus postage, with no guaruntee (unless it doesn't work at all, ie doesn't even get any power)?

20 bucks sounds great. What thickness is the power cabling, and what sort of cable is the speaker wiring? Is it OFC clear stuff?
How much extra for the distribution blocks? I don't think 1m will reach from the back of my headunit to the liftback but may as well grab it anyway.
BTW I'm in Hobart, like the profile says. Any idea how much all this stuff weighs? Cabling can end up weighing a bit. I'm quite happy to buy this stuff off you instead of locally, but if postage makes it silly I might have to just buy the dist. block, terminals, fuse etc instead. Thanks, Stefan

Whoops, sorry mate, for some reason I thought you meant the passenger footwell when you said drivers side hatch (yeas, I am on drugs!). Change that 1m RCA to a 5m RCA, and $5 for the block. The power cable only says 10mm2 (squared), but doesn't have a guage marking on it. That would be the area of the cross section, so it's about 4-5mm thick. I don't think the long length of cable I have will be long enough actually, unless you have one or two joins. You couldn't have your amp any further from your battery! Ever thought of mooving the battery to the back?
As for the speaker cable, there's an 8m length of 3mm thick cable, which is pretty thick bloody thick, you prolly wouldn't need it quite that long and thick (hmmm, I'm sure I've said that before! ). Otherwise I can send you a couple of shorter lengths of similar size stuff. It's really prolly too thick for what you need, but it doesn't hurt to go too thick. It's all OFC, and only the 8m length is clear.

Does the dist. block look anything like this?: http://jaycarstore.webfactory.com.au/*ws4d-db-quer y-Show.ws4d?*ws4d-db-query-Show***EBI-GB-109109114 118110113-1342***-eProducts***-***jaycar(directory )***.ws4d?jaycar/results(S).html
Is the fuse a maxi-blade or cylndrical type?
I don't think I can stick the amp anywhere else. I've thought about moving the battery to the back, but that would trully push my car into the 'undeniably modified' catagory, and quite frankly I can't afford the insurance. If my car was actually *fast* it would be worth it. I'm already pushing whether my car is 'stock' with the more visable sports wheel, Supra rims, ~1 lowered king springs, cold air intake, 2" exhaust (obvious stuff). Not sure about the legality either, considering I've got a hatch rather than a sedan or coupe. I'm thinking about it though. How do you insure Clockwork?
Looking up the jaycar catalog, 4-5mm thick sounds like 8GA cable. I should be okay, as I want to break it out to the headunit along the way. I don't want to stuff you around or be a pain, so I will measure the car up properly tommorow to see exactly what I need. I'll definetly grab most of the stuff though

You're probably better depositing the money into his account; I wouldn't even send $20 through the mail. My 2c.

Stefan, that's the dist. block. And the fuse is a cylindrical type. With the battery, see what people say in that other thread, and have a good think about it, it's not cheap to do properly, but is worth it. More room in the engine bay is always handy, less weight in the front & more in the back is good, and it will be closer to the amp......
Don't ask about insurance for my celica..... I lost my license about 2 years ago, so lets just say, insurance doesn't cost me much.
I'll wait to hear from you regarding your measurements.
Cam, I'll send it to you COD, you'll have to go pick it up from your post office, and pay for it there. They'll send me a notice & 'I'll have to go to my post office & pick up the cash. I sent an EFI computer to adelaide recently, and it cost about $12 or so, plus I got insurance for it, which was about $2. The amp should be about the same, but I don't think we need to worry about insurance for a $20 amp. So send me your adress to big.worm@optushome.com.au

Hi Bigworm Roughly measured the car up for approx. maximums:
coax: 3.5m from HU to amp
power: 2.8m battery --> HU. 3.6m HU --> amp
speaker cable: 3.3m to FR 4.7 to FL 1m to BR 2.4m to BL
Does this sound crazy? I was going to buy the lot bar the coax cable, but as far as I know you have to buy cox in 3m or 5m lentghs - no 3.5. So I guess I'll buy the lot. Any idea roughly how much this stuff would all weigh for postage? Stefan
