In my opinion the only thing Toyota did wrong was not build the Holden Torana. Ah what a classic. Totally under rated machines. Handling and grunt in an affordable mid sized family cruiser. Toyota really did miss out on this niche market back in the 70's

I think you will find more than a few people wanting to debate the good handling statement... As for Toyota missing a market, you may be right there. But back in the days of the Torana, Australia was very patriotic and a Japanese company would need to make a far far superior product to make it sell in modest quantities.

i wouldnt say thats the ONLY thing cause they have STUFFED MAJORLY the celica in recent times!!!!!!!
also i recon they have lost interest in performance areas, yeah they got the supra but still. i guess australian rules have a part but even in the world scene.
they have dropped out of rally MOTHER F!@#$ERS, i cant believe they got rid of the corolla from rally!!!!!!!
but they have taken part in the formulas and indy whch is good to see and they arent doing too bad too 
BUT at the end of the day i recon they should get back into the 4cyl turbo scene cause thats what people want! WELL THATS WHAT I WANT
