They're all built with design input from from Yamaha. The later ones had a Yamaha print in the casting.
The head number is on the front of the head, towards the exhaust side. Will read 11111-882##. I need the 2## part.

Oh, do you mean 'Why?'
Because different head castings were fitted with different cams, valves and valve springs. Where fitted to an original bottom end (admittedly unlikely at this age) a head casting number will correlate with a specific compression ratio, emmisions pack, etc. Later model blocks (as fitted with later model heads) were different castings to earlier ones too.
