icon14.gif  FS: T50 quick shift kit - SOLD Sun, 08 August 2004 09:06 Go to next message
Hi all,

I have a quick shift kit in excellent condition for sale.

Kit includes:

  • gear lever with professionally extended shift arm and shortened main section (still with rubber dampener to quieten any rattles)
  • machined alloy 10mm spacer (between gearbox and gear stick)
  • 4 bolts and spring washers

Buyer pays shipping or if in Melbourne can contact me to arrange pickup (roughly $10 anywhere in Australia).

$240 (not inc shipping) - *** SOLD ***

Works perfectly!

Denis

I can probably offer $150 + shipping,
That's all I can afford atm.

Let me know if or when that might be acceptable.

I would assume this is for an AE86 Sprinter T50 as opposed to a Celica T50?

No they don't mate. TA22/23 shifter is different to TE72/AE86.

Simon: Actuall, no. Like Jonny said, the AE86/T18 shifter is different to the TA22/23 shifter.

Demuire is correct. To suit the later T50 shifter extension as found on the AE86/TE72.

Do you have any pics of it at all? $240 seems a bit steep, unless it's like... Really nice... (I've seen some rather bodgy ones, although they did work quite well)

Also, any idea how much it shortens the throw etc?

how did u find the throw?
im making one with a 20mm spacer...sounds a bit much if the trd one is only 10
the way we calculated it 20mm should give 50% stock throw
so that makes 10mm 25% less throw, does that sound right or was it more than that?

I have 2 interested parties at this stage

demuire - I will post pics. I reckon its really nice tho. Very Happy

jessetamsett - thats about right. I didnt measure the difference in throw between the old and new setup. But 20-30% sounds right.

20mm plate - I used a piece of 19mm plate on the shifter for my W55, and it's, well, damned short! Also made one a couple of days ago for my T50 with 10mm plate, and that's probably about right for most people I'd say.
