hey all...
met this guy the other day who had an auto ta22 celica...
and it went pretty good for a stockie... quicker than the manual equivelant...
he kept telling me he had a 13t engine that was it's original...
i said, he must be wrong, can only get 2t engine's original.
so we open the bonnet and he points to the rocker cover and it says 13t, i point to the id plate and show him it says 2t...
which tells us that he has some type of hybrid happening...
what car is the 13t out of?
does the top part of that engine bolt onto a ta22?
am i right in this being the reason for his power gain?

From what understand the 13T is the commercial version of a 3T from vans and such. Probably had a different cam, compression etc and the one I had was covered in emmissions crap.

i got one in my car, 13t is just another version of 3t. apparently has more emissions control gear, tho mine came with a weber on it so no idea, and is meant to be a higher comp ratio than 3t, maybe also a different cam or something
