Has anyone put a manual behind a 1UZFE?

Lexuses and the like only come out auto don't they?

I've been quoted a grand for a converter to my box:

"The kit is $1000.00, for this you get a new steel flywheel, new ring gear, new 9 1/2" clutch plate, new spigot bush, new thrust race, thrust carrier, clips, fork, pivot, thrust fork, slave cylinder, push rod, bolts etc."

Thats from http://www.rodshop.com.au/bellhousings.htm

I've got the number for dellows (97744419) and am trying to get through to see what their price would be. I was really hoping on keeping my current clutch though.

jamie aka "1UZ-FTE" has a W58 behind his 1UZ, you could try contacting him about it.

He got his from Dellow, I think he made his flywheel himself.

Dellow sell a kit, so do the Castlemaine Rod Shop, plus a company called CarbonTech in Melbourne, and theirs comes with a lightened flywheel too.

The dellows stuff by the time you add up all of the parts isn't much cheaper (I think its more actually) than the CRS one, and personally I'd be going the CRS one every time, even if it did cost more Shocked Enough dellhousings for me for now Very Happy

You could get your flywheel custom made to suit your clutch I'd imagine.

custom usually means expensive.. although if they're making the belhousing and putting a clutch and flywheel in it, they might be able to do it with my clutch ... I'll have to get it out of the car.

Ask the CarbonTech dude, they sell everything and make the flywheels themselves, so check out what they say.
