hey guys
just wondering who at the moment is playin this game.
whats the verdict is it generally thumbs up or down.
i know there is a fair bit of bit torrent downloads goin on and i dunno how many ppl got it so far as there are about 3700 ppl tryin to get it.
Anyway i heard its a monster of a game requires something crazy to run it. What kinda setup do u ppl use to run it? Weather its worthwhile to UPGRADE to enjoyably play this game.
View? info? Much appreciated.

2.4GHZ
1/2 gig of 300MHZ ram
RADON 9800 Pro
more Hd space than you can poke a stick at
Medium-high range motherboard
I run it in 800x600 with most detail options on, 16 bit textures.
My slow arsed ram is what's holding it back.

bros computer...
3.2
1 gig corsair ram
highish range mobo
ati x800xtpe
running at a stable 40-65 fps range
1280 1024
high detail.
I believe the game depends 70% vid card good ram n board helps along with a competent p4
I never played a game that i nearly shat myself during intro n minor sampling.
This is one game my p3 500 will NOT run

why does everybody keep stating the size of their hard drives? as long as you have enough free space for virtual memory and the game it makes no difference how much capacity it is.

well it is designed to run on a minimum of a geforce 4.
being baseline thats probably a big factor.

impressive
never heard of running into board voltages n stuff.

wtf? its awesome man?
how come you dont like it.
as for the harddrive comment > it does make a difference
the game is constantly reading information from the drive
so the access time of the hDD makes a LOT of difference.
4age > changing voltages affects the temperature of the core right? so running the right ram and cpu voltages can control heat dispersion

the best thing i found about it its that its fkn scary, i feel scared the whole time im playing it.
other than that i get 50fps in 800*600 medium detail
P4 2.8
1gig of DDR 333 ram
Radeon 9700 Pro
the game is very fkn hungry, in soldier of fortune 2 for example i can get 400fps in some maps with 1024/768 and high detail, compare that with 50max on doom with low detail settings

Ahh don't give up on it so easily... It gets WAY better as you play it more. The first levels feel more like levels made to get the newbies into the game.
I've been running it 1024x768 ultra quality recently... just to see how it played. Compared to high quality it's a bit slower, but doesnt look that much better. I'll stick to high quality until I can afford a Geforce FX 6800GT
Currently running a 2500+ Barton @ 3200+, 1gig ram, way too much hdd space (wish i could say FREE space!), Geforce FX 5900...
I like the game, it's great after midnight with the lights off, headphones on and volume up loud!
