it is now time to slap a zorst on my jzz30. (thanks to mr. tax man for being generous!!!) just wondering on thoughts about the ideal way to go.
i am thinking 3" dumps into 3" pipe and cat. i want to still split it at the back and was going to run to 2.25" pipes.
not sure what to do at the back, not super keen on a couple of big cannons as it would not be the most original concept. have been thinking of maybe a twin tipe type muffler on each side
thoughts would be appreciated

You've got the right idea. 3" right off the dump pipe(s), into a 3" high flow cat, then split at the rear into 2.25-2.5" is ideal on the Soarer. I went twin 3" out the rear, but it droned too much, so had to get it changed.

what about 2.5" off each turbo into 2.5" cat into what ever muffler you want on each side!
True twin pipes!
anyone ever tried this?

So you mean the dumps off the turbos never join, Chris?

that was my original plan, in essence having 2 separate systems. the guy at the exhaust shop said he's done a fair few 1 and 2j's and said whenever people do this they tend to revert back to a single system

do you think a couple of 5" cannons hanging out the back would be too excessive???

they have to make their money somewhere i guess - it's the same with everything. i don't mind paying that for him to put it on. not as if i would put it on - the hours it would take me i would just go to work and earn that cash to pay him!!!

yep, that's what i mean.
I was just thinking that if turbo engines need no back pressure at all then obviously the largest diameter exhaust will result in the best performance. and twin 2.5s are bigger than a single 3. It is probably a bit overkill for the little ct12as though
