Wiring up a car alarm siren

I installed a Black Widow alarm on the weekend (piece of cake), except the bloody siren came with no instructions. There are 4 wires (red, black, blue and grey). Does anybody know what these wires mean? When the alarm instructions say connect the Siren+ wire to the siren, which colour wire do I connect it to?
I cannot get the siren to shutup by applying 12v volts to red/black, and I tried applying +12v to blue and grey as well.
The bloody siren came with no explanations of the wires!

Its a battery backup siren.
red = permanent +12v
black = ground
and the two other wires are your positive and negative triggers that connect to your alarm / immobiliser (forget which is which but you only need one and therefore have a 50:50 chance of it working first try)

I've tried everything I can think of to get this working.
The red is positive and black is ground - I know that much.
The grey looks like a ground as well, and the blue looks like a positive (according to the voltmeter).
I've tried hooking up the red/black to 12v, and then hooking the blue to +12v to no avail, also tried hooking the grey to ground to no avail...
The siren won't shutup when I turn it to ON. What else can I try?
