AE86 Axles? need help!

I have a early model JDM ae86 with disc & LSD rear end. The other day I replaced one of the axles. I have a feeling that the diamiter of the teeth may be too small. unfortunately I didnt measure them when they were both out.
Im not sure what spec ae86 the spare axle came from, but i have a feeling it is the wrong one. here is what happens... When i drive slowly it is all fine, but when I turn left (the side of the new axle) or put the power 'down' then the back of the car vibrates VERY violently.
I guess what i want to know is firstly if u think an axles with the wrong teeth could do this. and secondly where can i get the correct axle to fit my disc & LSD JDM early model diff?
PS: anyone know an EASY way to remove axles from the housing?

what does a slide hammer look like?i might have to buy one.
they way i got the axle out on the weekend was by putting a rooted rim on and hammering to off from the inside (with all bolts taken out) but i tried that last night and it doesnt seem to work this time.
The car is a early (zenki) JDM GT Apex model. and im guessing it still has that rear end in. what difference would it make if they were kouki? i will try and find out what diff this new axle came from.
what axle would i need for my zenki diff?

If I'm not mistaken, the Kouki and Zenki axles are different diameters.
Be careful when pulling axles too as you can f*ck the axle up (bend it).
If you have no slide hammer, get a ratchet strap or old seat belt or something and attach it to the studs in a loop, then use a jack handle or pipe of some sort inside the looped strap to yank it out i.e. hold the pipe horizontal with both hands close to the hub and then yank it towards you (make sure you don't snap your shins in half) so it pulls inside the slack strap and creates a 'shock' that is what you really need with stubborn axles. Worked a treat on mine, but sometimes, you just can't do it without a slide hammer.
Do you have a mechanic mate? If so, see if you can borrow it. If not, get one. They're great.

There are big axle diffs & small axle diffs. My disc brake rear end sourced in Aust had big axles, which I discovered when I put my OEM LSD centre in, sourced from U.K. Fortunately I had no trouble getting some small axles.
