Okay well I dont have one, Im just seeing how much it would be if I wanted one... In my opinion they are great looking cars and I need a car to rival a mates s13 silvia for less than 7 grand.... in manual... hence i was wondering if its difficult convertion and how much it would be.... the model is around 88/89 i dont know what the model name of that year is

thanks

Having just done this.

Pressure plate and clutch Heavy duty 5 puck $580

Gearbox with bellhousing with spare cltuch
Slave, master, clutch lines and pedals, Machine the flywheel, tailshaft, miscellaneous was $1000

Total approx $1600

BTW this was on a 87 GZ Soarer , not the one in the avatar

They cost $4000 to do!

Both are materials only prices.

yer i just did one too..

add to that price about $700 labour (which is what i paid), you'd be lucky to
get away with just under/over 2grand.

edit: ahahaha just realised this thread is almost a year old! haha

for that much you could build a sweet auto that could have the potential to put a fair bit of power to the groud.

i never used to like autos, but driving some cars at work and mates cars, no i dont mind them. (still prefer manual tho)

get the trans rebuilt with better and more clutch packs
up the line pressure
get a convertor with decent stall 2300-3000 rpm
oil cooler
then see how it goes. i bet you see a vast improvement in take off and speed, would be cheaper than the manual conversion by the sounds too...just my thoughts
