Have Turbo 7M GTE. When you bring it into boost it runs like shit. Blows black (fuel) smoke and won't perform. Any ideas out there and or links to find out. Thanks

You tried retrieving the codes from the ecu?
checked your spark plugs, leads, o2 sensor and timing?

Could be a boost leak. Loosing air that has passed through the airflow meter will make it run rich, giving the symptoms you described. Check for crack in intercooler hoses ans make sure your compressor bypass valve(blowoff valve) has not failed.

Yep, those are classic symptoms of a boost leak. They can be pretty hard to track down with the factory inlet piping, so check carefully.

Found the problem was boost leak. Bastard hose at turbo uytlet, Nice little job for us with big hands.
