how the hell do you lower the front of the hilux? i've heard you need to get the torsion bar and stick it somewhere and wind this and that, i am lost, I HATE TORSION BARS!

Couldn't be simpler, really. All the simpler for the fact that they are torsion bars!!
Just crawl under, locate the height adjusters on the back end of the bars, undo the lock nuts, and start unwinding until the desired height is achieved. Do a few roll-and-brakes to bounce it a few times and settle it in, measure that you have the correct ride height on both sides, then remember to do up the lock nuts!!
If you want to get to radical depths, you will need to buy new bars that are set lower, or do what I did and wait 15 years 'till they sagged that much

sick, well the ute was owned by a concreter, got it for $300 and it runs, and has a mod plated W50, so i'm quite happy (good old 18R!) and the drivers side is already 4" lower (im not exagerating!) so i geuss i need to do the passenger side and i'm set the back, i'm going to get reset with stiffer leafs, cos it will be used to get stuff everynow and then
thanks!
