one from a 3SGTE Smile

heh sorry.

There aren't many that will work straight off. If any at all. Bascially you need to find one that has a similar voltage output to the 3S-GTE one.

Even then your standard ECU may have trouble if the voltages are even slightly different.

I don't really think the 3S-GTE AFM is the major restriction in the standard inlet tract. Its annoying piping-wise thou.

thanks dude, not worried bout piping restriction....i rekon i fried mine today.....pulled out the entire AFM to get to a coolant return pipe, and pulled out the wires to the ARM thinking there was a clip.....no clip, soldered straight onto the circuit board, so i had try and re-solder, and that didnt werk, getting bad throttle issues and throwing codes

I'm pretty sure that the AFM has a clip on wiring connector... In fact, I can't imagine it not having a clip on one!

well i hate to break it to you, but only a single wire out of the 6 wire loom has a clip (2 others do, but thats for the temp sensor). i know this becuase i had to pull mine appart and look inside!!! no clip. connectors from circuit board directly soldered to wires, no clip........im getting my circuit board repaired by a electronic engineer ATM

otherwise i think its Apexi AFC time
