Hi,

Haven't you Toymodders been busy little folk, eh?

I was at Castle Hill Toyota today and the dude there handed me a pretty colour brochure on the upcoming Toymods Show and Shine.

I grabbed a couple and when I had to go over the road to the Holden Dealership, I left one there for them Smile

Good news about being able to leave dirt on the car. It saves me having to clean it and also saves water!

May I suggest you emailing ABC radio and a few others about this event. Good old Angela Katerns would probably give it a plug on air. I'd do it for you, but I think it better to come from a Board Member. She may even want to talk to you for a few minutes and I'm notorious for slipping in the odd F-word now and then (can't help it, it just happens) and she'd only get heavy and uncool and kill the conversation. I think one of the more literate board members (if such a beast exists) would be best for this. Anyway, give it a go.

Entries will be closing at 8:45 on the day of the show. It would make things a lot easier for the organisers if as many people as possible can register before hand so we get a feel for the number of entrants but we will be taking entries on the day.

Ben,

The reason we can't accept the forms without pyaments is that we will be allocating spots on a site plan as the entry forms arrive. If we don't have the payment then there is always the chance the entrant may not show up on the day.

So will there be allocated positions of each different Toyota model type? ie. Celicas, Supras, Corollas?

Will we get to see where we will be positioned?

You gotta be kidding me... you want me to put ALL my mod's down in that space on the form?? Shocked Surprised Rolling Eyes

Is it ok if I use the back of the sheet instead? My copy isn't double-sided. Do I need to list all my mods? Otherwise I'll be from here till Christmas writing them all down. Razz

The modifications section is really aimed at giving you guys a chance to point out anything that might get missed in judging. It's a good chance that any judge will see an engine conversion or a body kit but detail things could get missed.

If you have heaps of modifications I'd be suggesting you list the more complicated and interesting ones, rather than putting down a list of every component you've added to the car.

Ben,

Other clubs are welcome to enter as a group display and we are happy to accomodate that were we can. If you get your forms and payments in together in advance we can allocate you an appropriate space in the carpark. If you are all entering on the day we will do out best but can't make any promises.

Hope that helps

It sounds as though we should organise a weekend before the 3rd to have all the projects that need spraying sprayed in one hit, have a spray painting team ready to spray each car BYO own paint, $500 per car, trailer in trailer out. Also a swap meet on parts. Because I,m in the same boat as everyone else, need spray job.

We didn't make any club trophies for the simple fact that Toymods will be the most represented club there and we didn't want it to look like there is any bias.

If we get a lot of people entering from other clubs it's certainly something we'll be doing in the future.

We will be having another class trophy on the day.

I had a chat with one of our members, Al Palmer, who would like to sponsor a best imports class so we will be having that as well as the other classes on the entry form.

Thanks very much to Al for adding to what we can offer.

Yeah, you should home from the show & tucked up in bed by the time the game starts. Laughing j/k

Besides, the REAL final was played last Saturday.

Now waits for torrent of abuse from the cockroaches & canetoads...

Also possibility of another entrant pending the time he has to work...
