Ben,
Mate we are not able t have a BBQ at the venue.
They have a Cafe there to provide food to the visitors to the centre and we are not able to do anything that may remove customers from the existing businesses. Which is fair enough. If it was my cafe and someone had a BBQ in the car park I'd be pissed !
Thanks again for Organising the SRC display. It really was great to see some support from at least one of the other clubs that showed an interest. Hopefully there will be more next year.

How many class trophies were there on the day? What other possible categories could be added for next year?

Yeah, I thought that may have had something to do with it... What about a BBQ on the other side of the road ???
No probs about the display mate... We'll definately be back next year with more cars and a bit more put into the display too...
And if there's no other clubs I don't mind... Easier to take home a trophy ... Maybe a few club awards such as "Best Club Display" and maybe a few more similar to Autosalon and Supernats and stuff???

now THATS how a car show should be - not tucked away in a building scared of the odd bird poo or dust particle !
Rod - nice to see " myth22" made an appearance too
PS - Who owns that purple Seca with the inverted bonnet scoop - i want to know the colour of that paint NOW!!
Guys - next year give me AT LEAST 2 months notice to have my gt4 set to go and ill have it there for sure
Those who saw it on dyno day 7 and took interest will me vastly surprised how far it has come since that day

No worries, Rod.
Just offering a suggestion to it more appealing to try to attract more entrants with more trophies, etc.
As I said, I don't think an extra $5 on the entry fee would kill anyone, the fee is cheap now.
For the board's consideration.
Bring on next year
I should just remove my springs for that "low rider look".
Oh, & I found a bolt in air bag suspension kit for my car, anyone want to lend me $6000...?

The purple Seca is actually owned by one of my old work colleages who I hadn't seen for about 3 years, it was cool to see he has an interest in Toyotas.
The paint is a black base with Chameleon over the top. I don't know wich chameleon version it is but it appeared to go from green to purple. The black base coat made it really subtle and super nice, I can't think of another car with chameleon paint that I actually liked.

# Entrants
# Wifes/girlfriends/support personell
# the Board
# entrants
# toymodders and enthusiasts alike
# Al Palmer
# DAV!!!!!
# EVERYONE who turned up, even if only for 2 minutes
It was an awesome day, everyone i spoke to agrees and praises the job that was done. To say i am proud is an understatement.
Next year will be MUCH bigger, as we have a whole 12 months to plan out advertising, organisation, displays, and our cars! I am already planning to have my almost mystical RA28 back on the road and looking SCHMICK by then.
My pics i will have uploaded to my webspace soon - if only i knew how to make a thumbnails preview page!

Hey guys, what can I say ...
That was so cool!!!
Everything was so impressive, from the number of entrants to the amount of spectators, the beautiful weather, and not to forget THE CARS!!!
I was in heaven!
It was a shame there was no ST 162's there. But as others have mentioned, there were some pretty sweet cars in the car park, so next year everyone has to get them on display so I can get a closer look!
Top job boys. I had a blast. Can't wait till next year!!!
