How do i change the name of a post i have made

If i start a topic say i list a car for sale.
then i sell it how can i change the title of the thread to say something like "i have sold my car thank you for the offers"
Or i put a spelling mistake in the title of the topic and wish to change it ?..
Also if somebody quotes something i said in their signiture if i change the post they took the quote from will it also change the quote in their signiture ?
Thanks guys i'm still new to this stuff . your webiste has helped me soooooo much more than you guys can imagine.

Edit the origonal post, You can change the topic and it will show on the forum page.
