I found this Place called Purple Pig (kinda like pirtek) and they sell these wild hose clamps (I cant keep the barstards ON!!!) that have now solved my probs....they are about 2cm wide and use a bull type clamp up top, you do these suckers up with a 12MM!!!!! Shocked i'll post a pic

they are simulare to other brand name ones but only 4 bucks compared to 15!!!

i got some staino ones of these at a local engineering shop in Camden. about $3-4 each. they are much much better and everyoe should use them for everything.
