Or are you low on fuel?

From personal experience, fuel starvation makes the car 'bunnyhop' at times, especially if you're just about to run out ...

Btw, welcome to the club! Smile

i've not check my timing yet..but a friend of mine told me to check my TPS or TRP..cant remember what its called...there's a certain reading that u must reach or something...i've yet to check it ...

i've not check my timing as well...

can someone explain if this gotta do with the tps or trp (whatever its called)??

That's just the nature of a 4AG being a high engine rev'er ... it's just lumpy at low revs.

this is called "bunnyhopping". it's what p-platers do. learn to drive better and your car will give a smoother ride

I've got a twin cam and that happens to me too... just ease the throttle on at slow speeds and all is well.

don't worry, we all had to get rid of our driving partner "captain kangaroo" at one point Smile

the clutch is there to be slipped, slip it. don't ride it for extended periods of time or at high rpm, but its purpose is to be let out slowly and provide a smooth transition between two parts travelling one speed (flywheel) and another speed (drivetrain), think of it as a synchro that you actuate with your leg

the clutch can be let out fast at first, when it's all the way down, but slow your foot as you come closer to the take up point. almost to the point where you let it off delicately and softly. every car will have a different clutch take up point. letting the clutch out fast (dropping, popping or sidestepping) will load up the drivetrain, and if you're at low enough rpm you'll bunnyhop. if you're at high enough rpm you may grab traction and go forward quickly (a "launch"), or you may exceed the grip limit of your tyres (do a "big fat smokey") if your car is powerful enough

yep same here. also when ur cruising along and take ur foot all the way off the accelerator, the car will jolt backwards a little, and when u put ur foot back on, it lurges forward.

the same thing happens when im going arounda parking lot too. the way i get around it, when ur going slow around a car park, just roll, or and when u need to move again, wait till teh point that ur almost stopped, and then take off as if u were takeing off from the lights (slip cluth etc) or put it into second and let teh clutch out slow.

DONT try to go around teh car park in first the whole time, it WILL NOT work!
