i've just pulled a 3T N/A and want to put in a 3S-GTE. the car has a W55 manual. i've been told to look for a 2c/2s bell housing if i want to run the 3sgte but i've had no luck. i might even run a 3S-GE depending on funds. Now..How much alteration would a W55 wth 3T bellhousing need to mate upto a 3S-GE? i dont have the muny to buy another box, but i have a mate whos a engineer and can alter the bell housing on the W55.
so what needs to be done guys?

The bellhousing bolt pattern is totally different. I guess you could make your own bellhousing with a suitable bolt pattern, but I can't see it being cheaper than just buying a 2S-C bellhousing!

Yep a 2S or C Series bellhousing purchase would be much cheaper than modifying your T series bellhousing, and while I understand they are expensive in New Zealand, your current bellhousing is also a saleable item.

I can supply a S type bellhousing to suit a supra type box. E mail me if interested.
