hey guys, i'm inbetween a rock and a hard place, the font springs are shot on my 86, i need some new ones with drifting in mind, yes yes, my coil overs are on the way, but i can't miss the 22/8 drift day at Queensland raceway, need the practice (on track.. )and thier gonna be a couple of months, they haven't even left japan yet! i have camber tops in there, so lowered kings would not sit low enough..(the dodgy guy that had it befor me in japan cut them to make it sit low) i have found that the low/super low springs from my old mans RA40 (thanks dad! ) fit the back, and drop it nicley, they are also a higher rate than the low sprinter ones! so does anything from anything fit the front? i'm in brisbane, if all else fails i might have to get some lows, and get them re-set..
please help me!!

if you do get kings lows and get them reset.. what do you do about the spring not being captive? This is what i am facing at the moment too...

I don't believe your front springs are shot. They are probably almost as good as they where new. Maybe they have saged lower a few mm, but thats what you wanted anyway. More likely, the shocks are shot. And the springs were always soft.
I would say just buy the Kings/ whiteline low springs. I don't actualy know whats avaliable sorry. But if you want it very low, you just have to buy the low ones then cut them a bit.
If the springs are not captive, you will need to change the shocks to different shorter ones, and maybe they need changing anyway. For the front, you can use front shocks from a ST162 Celica. Club4ag recomend AE92 shock inserts, but most AE92 struts in Australia are sold as complete sealed assemblys I think. ST162 cartridges are about the same dimentions. And you will need a spacer to make them fit. To keep very very low springs captive, you will need to cut the strut body shorter also, and use a smaller spacer.

no there shot...the drivers side one is about 2.5 " lower than the passenger side, there car sits on a friggin angle it's that bad! all the bushes are getting done at the end of the week, my mate has in his garage some brand new AE92 superlow kings, i'll make them captive bare in mind it is soley for track use this week end, not going to be driving all over brisbane.. i think he said the spring will be a couple of mm out of being completely captive..not much..meh..
