How many spraycamns from bunnings did that take !!
( just kidding )
Why the matt black simon =- any particular reason ?? woulda thought a gloss would be easier to repair and not show up dorifto damage as easy ? ( ie litle scratches )

If u botch it just rub it back and start again, its only matte black its not as if you are paying $1500 a litre for paint like with a camaelon job

alot of people in the hot rod world are using matt black at the moment
its supposed to show a level of agression(perhaps not the right word) that other paint jobs dont show. its nothing flashy, its what it is...raw
well, thats what i saw in some doco not long ago
i think it looks mean

man that is a pretty bad paintjob i can see a whole lot of patches in the close up
are you intending on painting with a flat clear coat now ?....that would seal the paint too, at the moment it is still porous and prone to rust
as you would know its a effort to paint a car something you dont want to be doing again soon id assume

ahh i got it, its the shadow of a diamond wire fence on the car , had to get a second look at it, i only really looked at the quarter panel close up before looks like tiger stipes vertical, thinking why the hell would you paint it vertical!....in that case it looks sweet as and i should get some glasses

Hey Simon, why the Darth Vadar / black primer 'boro boro' hachi look?
At least the cops will have difficulty chasing you at night when you turn off the lights.
Just told Matt in Japan and he's like 'holy shit!'

yes matt black is getting very popular in the v8 world, i reckon this car looks great
though you do really need to put a flat clear coat over the top or it will turn to powder very very quickly

they serve a purpose, thats to secure the bumper. Now on the track if something hits me or i hit something, the bumper will come off quickly without tearing the panel's or bumper support brackets etc
all drifters do it for this very reason.
