What is the better option

I currently have a ta23 that has a reasonable amopunt of bog in it. The paint is shinny but patchy so needs a respray. Interier still needs recovery and also needs new doors.
I can get ahold of a ta22 that im hoping has little bog that i can do from the ground up again using metal insted of bog. Unsure of condition of everything else though. It has a modded crossmember to suit a 18rgu which is what ill be running annyway.
My question is should i keep my ta23 and get all the new parts and redo it all or get the ta22 which could turn out alot more straighter with no bog. which would be worth more in the end ta22 or ta23. who perfers what cars? how hard are parts to get for ta22 as ive had troubles getting ta23 parts already.Would it be worth cutting my losses and going for a better condition ta22 as if i convert my ta23 to original again which i have the parts to do I can sell it straight away. Please let me know all the opinions on everything and how much smaller is the ta22 engine bay compared to the ta23 as i wanna put a 18rgTeu in it.

Go the TA22 you know you want to.
There will be fibreglass guards available for the TA22 soon

So you have said.
Where are they?
I need some.
Are they the early or later TA22 guard lip style?

They're comming Just had lots of other things to do on the list before them Theres also another project car happening aswell
The guards will be moulded from later model items. Also if anyone is interested, i'll be making some new rear beaver pannels(out of steel) to suit the rear of the TA22's.

I once owned a TA22 with 18R-G. It fit, kinda. The 18R-G fills more space forward of the crossmember than 2T-G, which is itself mid-monted (engine mount location). There was clearance on the intake side equivilent to 2T-G, with dual Solex carburettors and room for slimline air filters. Excaust side clearance should not be a problem. Might want to confirm that the modified engine mount won't interfere with turbo mounting. Fans in mine were thermos as the clutch fan wouldn't fit.
As a result of forward-positioned boat anchor motor install, mine did behave like a lead tipped arrow. It didn't turn in too well. Having said that, once it'd changed direction it'd be a blast point-to-point out of and between corners, having a midrange strength that 2T-G lacks.
I hate bent cars and bog. Get the TA22 and do it properly if you're keen enough to see it through. TA22 was produced for five years alone, *A23 for 2 years in tandem with RA28. More parts should be available for TA22. You'll never fix a really bent car (TA23). Give yourself a chance.
TA22 are smaller, lighter, prettier.

Good to hear the panels are available. As luck would have it, the rear beaver is practically the only good panel on my whole damn car. Wanna start pressing rear 3/4's for me?
What was the name of that guy who did repair panels up there again?

The rear quater pannels are not going to be a problem for me as i'm going to modify the inner guards so that water and shit cant build up.

That's good, but actually wasn't my point. My driver side three quarter is bent, and ideally needs to be replaced.
