really depends on where it is located.
what engine?
if its a 5mge i can tell you its only a few bolts.
but im guessing its a 4a of some description.
adjustable spanner? never use such a meat axe on fragile toyota bolts!
get a socket wrech or some ring spanners.

yes 4age is the same, oil pressure regulator is the ball and spring delive located inside the oil pump housing. Removable with an alan key i think - hence an ajustable spanner will work about as well as my wang would at removing the pressure regulator.
Personally i think you are referring to the oil pressure SENDER. you will need an open ring spanner, with a bent end.... i have a special tool at home which does this job.

on M series engines the oil pressure regulator is integrated with the oil pump, and consists of a ball valve type spring loaded bypass.
there is a secondary regulated oil cooler bypass valve fitted to the side of the block under the oil filter on some vehicles, but this is not the oil pressure regulator...
same with the 4a i suspect

hmmm
tsrm shows it with three bolts and a gasket.

kind of academic really as i think (as karl also suggested) he probably just means oil pressure SENDER...
changing the oil pressure regulator is a Major PITA
