	Hey guys,
anyone know why toyota persisted with the straight six, as in 7m,1j & 2j's, when most other manufacturers went V-formation?Does the in-line design have advantages over the V? I'd have thought the V would be far better as far as engine weight and efficiency of power transfer.

I think generally you can squeeze more revs out of an inline, plus manifolds and turbo arrangements are alot simpiler on an inline motor.. (have you ever seen in a 300zx!.. OMG)

Not going to happen, the turbos are going to munch all the exhaust up and it'll never sound the same.

I am getting a 1JZ and I will admit that any V8 sounds better...than any six or four, period!

i would agree with that but you need a petrol tanker following you everywhere
