Allright so its late, but someone got to be out there.
Am thinking about a brake upgrade for my TA23(currently running an 18rgu).
Mate of mine has upgraded the RA60s already with little effort needed, but i can only find RA65 struts, calipers and discs around.
So are they much difference??

Yeah, I'm pretty certain that they're the same.

Thanks guys, They seem to go pretty much straight in, just the one minor adustment of welding up one of the holes in the TA control arm (the one where the bottom of the strut bolts together with the arm) and re-drilling it about 5-10 mls wider apart. A mate of mine has already done it in his TA22, looks neat enough, most importantly though, plenty of clearance between the strut and surrounding areas.
Perfect, should be a couple of weeks and it will be done to my TA23. Will include photos when done, for all to see.
So ventilated brakes here they come.

Are you aware that using RA6x struts in a TA23/RA23 will screw up your camber? You'll actually end up with positive camber if you don't take steps to fix it (eg longer control arms).

So Norbie, ive just read the other thread.
You used to have a RA23?
So by how much do you think the camber will be out by?
And the mx65 control arms are longer, could this be the answer to the camber problem? Will there be any issues there with the fitment of those?
I have to upgrade soon as 1 of the current struts has positive camber and is smoothing 1 of my 17s on the outer edge.
As you probably aware 17s arnt cheap. So i will be fitting another set of 15s back onto the Cel this weekend, for now.
Will probably proceed with purchase of the RA65 struts and brakes & compare.
Is this the case for just the 23s or will it affect the 22s as well. Cause a friend whose already done it, doesnt use his cel much since the upgrade as his using a company car.
Thanks for the insight though.

I still have my RA23. I'm pretty sure there are pics of it on my web site with the MA61 struts installed, and the positive camber is easily seen with the naked eye.
MS65 control arms are worth a shot if they're a bit longer. A friend of mine used Sigma control arms in his T18 when he installed RA60 struts, and that worked OK for him. The problem with this is the longer control arms also make the front track wider, which can introduce clearance problems with the front wheels (it's also illegal). It was very obvious on the T18, although it looked pretty tough!

So let me get this right.
The camber is out if RA60/5 control arms are used or the standard TA23 arms?
Cause I plan on using the TA23 arms as my friend has with his TA22. His appears to be fine.

TA23/RA23 arms will get you crazy camber angles. I find it hard to believe it would be much different in a TA22. Have you actually measured the camber in that?
