I have a mate with a 1990 MR2 that doesn't smoke, I'll check if he wants to get rid of the ashtray, doubt it though 
Wouldn't astrays in Toyota's be interchangeable in a large number of cases? I'd imagine the face of the drawer may differ a little, but i'd imagine the runners and the like are the same. Try a few different ones from a wrecker would be my suggestion.

Thanks Mate, I'd appreciate it. The tray itself is fine, it's just the lid that's pretty badly cracked. I believe this is something of a design flaw in the earlier mr2's.

Actually, now that you mention it. My mates ashtray lid is also cracked. Bummer. Can't help this time.
