How do I tell if a set of rims is real?

I've got a set of rims tha came with my new car. They are 15", not sure of the width. They have "Rays Engineering" on them. They look really nice, and seem to be really good quality, just missing the centreplates for 3 of them.
How can I tell?

My guess would be to weigh the wheels... Rays make very light wheels (from what I've read) and I'm sure a copy wheel would weigh 10kg+ whereas the Rays one would only be like 5-7kg.
Just a guess though.

True, I'll have to check when I get new tyres.
