The engine I've found doesn't have aircon or alternator, can I put the ones off my 7MGTE onto it?
They said (japimports) that its better to use my current ones as they'll work with my current lines. is this true?

I'd be surprised if your 7M stuff fits without a lot of stuffing around. The 1JZ uses a single serpentine belt to run everything, as opposed to the 7M which has several regular v belts. As usual, the toothless inbred wrecker dudes are full of crap.

Hey Pete,
Short answer is no.
You will need to get both ancillaries for the 1UZ. Also, you will need to make sure that you get ancillaries for the particluar car/engine combo. Eg. there are two different Soarer "incarnations" of the 1UZ...one has two ancillary belts, the other one, and they AREN'T interchangeable. I'd suggest the Crowns are different again.
My suggestion would be to look for something that is complete with ancillaries...

Ooops. Oh well it's pretty much the same deal - being a totally different type of enigine, you wouldn't expect the accessories to bolt up without a lot of custom fabrication work. It's much easier to get the original accessories and have the hoses/lines/wires modified to your car.
