Hey can some R154 owners tell me what sort of oil the use for theirs? I am just putting in a new clutch and have come to that stage... thanx

Redline MTL... best oil for the R154 from many reports I've heard. Haven't had a chance to try it in mine yet. Hasn't needed a change.

i use penrite hypoid gear oil. you cant buy better. And its only $30 for 2.5litres

this question has been asked a bizillion times, did you even try searching?
but to answer your question, unless you know something i dont, use "RedLine LightWeight Shock-Proof Gear Oil"
improves shifting quality greatly, worth every penny (it is expensive)
i paid $113 for 3.78L which is 40ml more than you need.

i agree , my r154 wasnt as smooth shifting as it should be ..
but as soon as i put $113 worth of redline in .. it was as smooth as a brand new box ..
ps its now for sale
r154 suit 1jz inc bellhousing , brand new excedy brass clutch , and clutch wheel .. ohh and redline oil too
